Lawnscaping Blog Hop - Deep Red!

Good morning all and welcome to the July Blog Hop Sponsored by The Ink Road you could win a $25.00 gift certificate to this store!  All you need to do is leave a comment with a trackable e-mail on each stop on this hop!

You will have arrived here from the talented Jesshttp://jesscraftsblog.blogspot.ca/2015/07/lawnscaping-fit-blog-hop-deep-red.html's Blog. This month we are inspired by the colour deep red! I typically stay away from red aside from the obvious Christmas and Valentine's Day so this was a fun challenge for me! I decided to use the Lawn Fawn Flower from Our Friendship Grows and turn it into a gerbera red daisy (gerbera daisies are my favourites).

So here is my project:

I used the SSS School House Red for the background paper die cut with the Large Stitched Rectangles by Lawn Fawn. I stamped and masked the largest flower from Our Friendship Grows and stamped the two smaller on either side.  I Copic coloured them based on a gerbera daisy I found on Google (of course!). I added some white detail with a gel pen. I then added tumbled glass ink around the flowers. I dies cut the script Hello die also by Lawn Fawn once in white and once in black for shadow (I love that effect). stamped the friend sentiment and finally added some PPP sequins.
Your next stop is the wonderful Angel's blog! Happy summer!

Thanks so much! Here are the other unbelievably talented blog hoppers! Enjoy!

CAS-UAL friday's CFC141 Embossing!

I have been loving rainbows lately! So I decided to go that route for this Months Cas-ual Friday's Challenge.  Embossing is the challenge so I dry embossed the background of my card. Here is my project:

I coloured the Simon Says Stamp die with Copics in rainbow order. Sentiment stamps by Mama Elephant and PPP sequins!

Thanks for taking the time!

Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge

The challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group is die-cutting, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog "Sparkle and Shine" featuring Pretty Pink Posh products and the monthly Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday challenge - die cutting!  I received my two new (older) SSS dies yesterday and couldn't wait to try them out! I also tried the Laura Bassen "blends like butter" theory with SSS doll pink and Coral Reef with a Tim Holtz stencil. I am pleased with the way it turned out and Laura was right, when done slowly they blend like butter!

I die cut the Sending die three times to give it dimension and the Hugs stamp is from Flower Friend. I love watching videos from other well known crafters that say just let the twine fall for a perfect circle... I am such a klutz I had to adjust the twine with glue dots... Never easy for me! lol. Finally, I added, of course, PPP sequins!

Thanks for taking the time!

Avery Elle Sparkle!

I had such fun making this next project for the current AEIheartU Challenge #26 Sparkle! My Assistant bought me this wonderful paperweight for my office and that was my inspiration for this card using Avery Elle's Cupcakes. Made it such a "Chick' card, I will give this to one of my nieces.

Here was the inspiration:

I used Ballerina Perfect Pearls for the icing and I cut one of my Kate Spade straws for the stupid piece. I made the card into a shaker using PPP sequins and some pearls I had on-hand.  I bought heat resistant acetate, LOVE it! I was able to white heat emboss the sentiment.  All stamps are from the AE Cupcake set.

Thanks so much for taking the time!
I apologize for the picture, grey day I need to purchase a folio light box!

Lawnscaping Challenge 110 - Color!

Who doesn't love a good rainbow, for this Lawnscaping Challenge - Color I couldn't think of a better Lawn Fawn set then the Color my World set! I just love the crayon and sentiment in this set. I missed the one Lawn Fawn designed for the Simon Says Stamp Stamptemeber. I was so excited with the release in the Spring!

Here is my project:

I cut a mask for the Crayon and just kept moving the mask and stamping! I Copic coloured all the crayons and added the happy face to them :) I used the clear Wink of Stella on all of them and added the sentiment from the same stamp set. Again, finished with Sparkling Clear PPP sequins!

LAWN FAWN is the wonderful Sponsor for this Challenge, Woot! You could win Lawn Fawn stamp set of your choice!

Mama Elephant Rainbows

The Mama Elephant Flickr Challenge for July is Rainbows! This Elephant is, in my opinion, the sweetest stamp I have seen in a while! I couldn't resist him for my Rainbow project. Fitting theme as it is grey and storming in Montréal today, I just started four weeks vacation so what better then to spend the day in my office/studio!

I turned the Balloons from the ME Up and Away set into a rainbow and added rainbow coloured PPP sequins to mimic the balloons! And, of course, the fabulous Ella from Ella and Friends! Copics everywhere and the Mama Elephant Puffy Cloud die.

Thanks for taking the time!

Summer Fun!

I am so very excited to share my first post with you as a newbie member of the Lawnscaping FIT team!  I don't know about you but summer has finally arrived, vacation is around the corner and the weather couldn't be any better! So I chose a BBQ theme for my project today also featuring, of course, critters! I thought this was appropriate as we discovered a little squirrel family during the winter in our backyard always fun... Ha! Haven't seen a bear yet but I do live in QuĂ©bec nothing is impossible!

For my card I used the largest of the small stitched rectangles with Neena Solar White 80 lb cardstock and lightly applied Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I die cut another stitched rectangle in the green cardstock and used the Grassy Border die twice.  I Copic coloured all of my images and I used multiple Lawn Fawn sets:
Critters in the Burbs;
Party Animal;
Let's BBQ;
and Gleeful Gardens
I then topped off with of course, a few sequins.

Summer is birthday season in my family this one will go to my youngest nephew!

Thanks so much for taking the time and don't forget you still have time to participate in the current Lawnscaping challenge Sparkle and Shine with a chance to win a generous prize from the wonderful Ellen Hutson!

Lawnscaping Challenge 109 - Sparkle and Shine!

So very excited to post this for the current Lawnscaping Sparkle and Shine Challenge #109. I have the pleasure of being part of the Lawnscaping Fit Team over the next six months!

I used the new Lawn Fawn Fantastic Friends and I made a shaker out of the fish tank by cutting the inside part of the "water" once everything was put together I used glossy accents on the outer portions of the tank.  I Copic coloured the fish, tank and food jar.  I created my pink frame from Lawn Fawn Stiched Rectangles. The grey Stiched border is also Lawn Fawn and the die cut hearts as well.

Ellen Hutson is the wonderful sponsor for this Challenge, the winner will receive a $25.00 credit to the Ellen Hutson store!
