I decided on the fantastic Polar Greetings set by Hero Arts for my card. I just love these bears and there isn't much coloring involved just some simple shading with my Copic "C" or Cool Grey set. I also used the red Copics for their accessories (listed and linked below). I then die cut my bears and their  accessories.

I cut a piece of Bristol cardstock and ink blended my sky with Black Soot, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide then used my Distress Sprayer to add some texture.

I backed the night sky with some Simon Says Stamp White Glitter paper and I also die cut my mountains (Mama Elephant) with the same glitter paper and the snow caps are Tonic specialty paper. I put all of my elements together on the card base and die cut the new Hero Arts Fancy Dies Cut Out Season die with Tonic red glitter paper.

To finish off the card I added some of my snow marker and used my heat tool to puff it up and a mix of the new Hero Arts Berry and Icicle sequin mixes.

A Blog Named Hero - Christmas Hogs!

Happy Monday crafty friends! I am over at A Blog Named Hero today featuring another Monochromatic card! That's the challenge this month and you still have time to play along!

For my project I chose the Warm Hogs set by Hero Arts :) I have always wanted a pet pig! I think I started bugging my parents for one when I was five (LONG time ago...) So my Mom decided to start a porcelain pig collection for me, lol! I still have not given up on having one of my own one day!

I started by die cutting a piece of Strathmore Bristol paper with one of my Rounded Rectangle dies so that I could do some ink blending using the Hero Arts Graphic Snowflake stencil and some Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar Distress Ink in the centre of the panel.

I then stamped and colored my piggy with my Copic Sketch markers using R20, R01 and R000 and used the accompanying die.

I die cut my Hero Arts Christmas sentiment using Tonic mirror card stock. I lined up my die cut so that I could stamp the secondary sentiments and the snowflakes using Rose Gold embossing powder. Once that was complete I glued my die cut and my piggy to the card base.

To finish off I added some sequins to the panel and glued it to fun foam and placed it on the card base! You still have time to enter the challenge!

Thanks for taking the time!

Hello Fall with Hello Bluebird!

Happy Sunday! I am not sure when it happened but I woke up one day this week put my dogs out and bam, I realized it was fall! Don't get me wrong I love fall, I actually think it's my favorite season. The only problem with it is that winter in next! LOL!

So, I was inspired to make a fall themed card using the sweet Hello Bluebird Moose and Friends stamp set along with the Tropical Foliage dies (yes, I know, they are tropical leaves but I wanted to use them anyway!) I used my Distress Oxide Inks on a piece of Bristol to make my fall colors and I die cut my tropical leaves from that panel.

I stamped and colored my images with my Copic Sketch markers and added some white gel pen for added detail. Once that was all done I die cut my Neena 80lbs panel using my favoured Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.

Before adhering my leaves and images, I added some Salty Ocean Oxide Ink in the centre and sprayed some water using my Distress Sprayer. Once that was dry I stamped my sentiment (collaboration set with Simon Says and Neat and Tangled from last years STAMPtember).

I put everything together and added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling clear sequins!
Thanks for taking the time, all of these products can be found at Simon Says Stamp!

Simon Says: Bling it On!

Happy Wednesday crafty friends that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says:Bling it On! The design team is featuring Studio Katia products, you don't have to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

Also, don't forget that this is the best month of the year - it's STAMPtember! Go check out  all of the fantastic Simon Says Stamp exclusive brand products and the wonderful collaboration products:)

For my project I decided to use the beautiful arrangement from the Lovely Blooms set. I cut a piece of Strathmore Bristol paper to 4.25 x 5.5 so I could use my Zig Clean Color real brush markers. I placed my panel and stamp (at an angle) in my stamp positioner and used Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  I colored my flowers in somewhat rainbow order.

I then die cut the panel using my Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I felt the panel was a little too plain so I added some Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink to the sides. I am not a huge fan of purple but there is something about Shaded Lilac that I adore. I used my distress sprayer to add some texture and I really like the way it turned out.

I die cut the friend sentiment from the Spring Bouquet die set (also Studio Katia) with some Simon Says Stamp glitter paper. Once that was glued to my panel I stamped the sentiment with the same Shaded Lilas ink. To add my bling, I used the April Crystals!

A Blog Named Hero - Monochromatic

Happy Saturday crafty friends! It's the 15th of the Month that means it's time for a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero!

This month we are going Monochromatic! I chose grey and silver for my project this month.

I started with my grey cardstock and decided on the beautiful Magnolia stamp by Hero Arts. I die cut my panel with the fantastic Rounded Rectangle dies and eyeballed my placement. I used Soft Granite Shadow Ink to stamp my flower (in hindsight, I should have used the Charcoal ink only because the ink dries lighter - you see I know this but I still pulled a blond moment and used the light ink lol).

Once that was complete I chose the Hand Drawn Messages, which I love and stamped my hugs with Versmark Ink and then silver embossing powder. I then stamped the sending with the Soft Granite Ink and embossed the hearts in the same Silver from the Hello Stamp and Cut set.

I foam mounted my panel to my card base and I was done. This was a really quick card to put together! Come join in on the fun over at A Blog Named Hero!

Thanks for taking the time!

Simon Says Stamp: Pop It Up

Happy Wednesday crafty friends that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Pop It Up! The design team is featuring Lawn Fawn :)

For my project I decided to finally break out my reveal wheel die, I haven't had a chance to use it yet! Along with some of the fantastic new Lawn Fawn products. Winter Skies I think is my favorite new release stamp set from the last Lawn Fawn release.

I paired it with the snow background from the Really Rainbow Christmas 6 x 6 paper pack. I started by die cutting all of the elements I needed for the reveal wheel and lined up my small sentiments from the Reveal Wheel Holiday sentiments on the wheel itself and white embossed all four sentiments. Once that was complete and I was happy with the alignment I took the top panel and stamped the Santa sleigh also from the winter skies set. I chose the cute foxes from the same set and used Copic markers to color them. The die set had sold out when I picked this up so I fussy cut the image.

I die cut some of the Simon Says Stamp glitter paper to mimic snow. I put the reveal wheel together and added my glitter paper and popped up my image with foam dots. I added a secondary sentiment and had to add it with a needle as I had already foam taped the two panels together... Yes that is so me! lol

The holiday season sentiment is from the same set as the other sentiments and the tag is by Mama Elephant. To finish off the card, I added some white gel pen detail and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Simon Says Stamp: Stamp It!

Happy Wednesday crafty friends that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Stamp It! The design team is featuring the new Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember exclusive brand products!

This is the best month of the year! Go check it out :)

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I used my Big Story Book Labrador die for this project with some Lawn Fawn Paper Bag cardstock for the dog, Black Licorice for the eyes and nose and Ballet Slippers for the tongue, lol! The tongue was a last minute decision, I looked at the dies for the ears and the tip looked perfect to act as a tongue. The dog die, cuts a slit for the mouth I just thought it was a cute addition to send this to a friend.

For the Stamp It challenge, I stamped my background with MFT stamps using some Kraft colored ink and added some black dot detail. I die cut the panel with a Simon Says Stamp die that also cuts the scallop separately. I love being able to mix and match so I die cut it again from gold cardstock to frame the panel. I placed the panel and frame on another piece of Paper Bag cardstock.

I then white embossed my sentiment on black cardstock and glued it to the panel. I finished off my puppy with Glossy Accents, White gel pen detail and some eyelashes!
