Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Pink & Main

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes! The design team is featuring Pink and Main products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I love the Furever stamp set by Pink and Main, I had to use this sweet bear for my card today.  I started by stamping him with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Bristol cardstock so that I could color my bear with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

I fussy cut him out once that was done and put him aside. I stamped my Simon Says Stamp Quilted Hearts cling background stamp with Versamark ink on vellum and used my Simon's Antique Gold embossing powder.

I die cut my vellum piece with my largest Honey Bee stamps Deckle Edge die. I also die cut the Simon Says Stamp exclusive Thanks die from Tonic Glitter paper.

For my secondary sentiment from the Furever stamp set I used a Mama Elephant small tag die and white embossed it. I took some twine and placed the tags around the bear's neck. I placed all of my elements on the panel.

To finish off, I used some Casual Friday Fun-Fettil hearts and some white Nuvo crystal drops and I added a larger string of twine to the top of the card.

A Blog Named Hero - Love is in the Air!

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends! I am over at A Blog Named Hero Today with some inspiration for the current challenge!

For my card today, I decided to play with the fantastic Hero Arts Watercolors! I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and started by adding three drops direct to paper of the HA Pink Watercolor and sprayed water to help with the movement using my Distress Sprayer. I decided to add some HA Strawberry Watercolor ink using the same method to deepen the color and I also added some Distress Paint in Antique Bronze also using the same technique.

Once that was dry, I dry embossed my Love Confetti die and added some "splatter" with the same Distress Paint and added the Picket Fence and Black Soot. I put that aside to dry once more.

I took my New Day Butterflies and stamped the second largest with Versamark ink and used my rose gold embossing powder. I was careful in using my Copic markers so as not to harm my nibs and remove my embossing. I then used the accompanying die.

I took my Tonic mirror cardstock and die cut the Wonderful. I also embossed my secondary sentiment using the same rose gold embossing powder and die cut it from a banner die.

I placed all of my elements on the card panel and added some black Nuvo drops to the Butterfly. I also finished off the card with some rose gold sequins with Nuvo White Blizzard glitter drops in the centres.

Simon Says: No Stamps!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: No Stamps Allowed! The design team is featuring fantastic Simon Says Stamp Brand Exclusive products :), it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I wanted to use my Clustered Leaves die, it is still one of my favorites and I have the newer outline version on my wish list!

I started by ink blending a mix of Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks on a large piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once that was complete, I used my Distress Sprayer to add some droplets for texture. I die cut my panel with Clustered Leaves die and a second time from Vellum to stack them both as my focal point.

I then took some Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt cardstock and used my Altenew Dotted Scales Debossing Cover die and die cut my panel. I then die cut the panel a second time using my Simon Says Stamp Frames Wafer die to be able to inlay the gold frame.

I took another piece of the Vanilla Malt for my card base and glued my panel elements to the base.

I intertwined both of the Clustered Leaves die and glued them together in spots where the vellum fell to the back so the glue wouldn't show. I glued the entire piece to my card base and cut the excess off.

I die cut a sandwich of Black Tonic Glitter cardstock, Fun Foam and Stick It adhesive and placed that on the panel.  To finish off the card, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon Jewels.

A Blog Named Hero - Love is in the Air

Happy Friday crafty friends! It's the 15th of the month and that means it's time for a new A Blog Named Hero Challenge! This month Love is in the Air!
I had to use the beautiful new Flower Garden Fancy Die, I am in love with the intricate design.  So that was my starting point, I die cut it from some Tonic Orchid Glitter card stock and that decided my color scheme.

I found an inspiration picture (included below) for my birds. So I took my RV family of pinks and colored them both adding some dark grey to my larger bird. I used the accompanying dies for the branch and the birds and set them aside.

I took the nesting hearts dies and die cut a medium sized heart from Neena 80lbs cardstock and them embossed a slightly smaller on in the centre.  I took my Flower Garden die cut and glued it to the Neena 110lbs card base and foam mounted my heart slightly offset on top.

I used foam tape for the birds and branch as well. I took a smaller heart and die cut it from Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink cardstock and stamped my sentiment from the New Day Butterflies stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink and foam mounted it to the card.

To finish everything off, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels, some candy hearts and stamped the music notes.

Simon Says: Black, White and One Other Color!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Black, White and One Other Color! The design team is featuring fantastic Avery Elle products :), it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I decided to use my favorite Avery Elle flowers for this project - the Hand Drawn Florals. I stamped my flower and leaf (using my stamp positioner) with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink to color with my Copic Markers.  I went with a turquoise theme for my card and used the BG49, BG 13, BG11 and BG10 and light grey from my leaf to give a "white" effect using N2 and No .

Once that was complete, I left my flower and leaf in my stamping tool and stamped them again using embossing ink and added Ranger Black Sparkle embossing powder to make the black really pop on the flower.

I then took out my new Card-Sized Confetti stencils by MFT and used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. With the first stencil, I went with a very light hand and a heavier hand with the second stencil for a fun ombré effect.

Once that was dried, I stamped my Hugs and Friend both from the Sentimental stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and used the same Ranger embossing powder.

I put my panel on a Neena 110lbs card base and used my Crop-a-dile to crop two of the corners. I wanted to round them because the bottom of my flower was slightly rounded.

I finished my card off using Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine Jewels.

Heart Sloth!

Happy Monday crafty friends! Stopping in to share this super fun Valentine's Day Sloth by Simon Says Stamp!

I LOVE this sloth so much, it was designed for the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Valentine's Day Kit, which is sold out but you can by the stamp set regardless (linked below).  I adore all of the critters in that fun set!

This was a quick enough card to put together, I started by die-cutting my Sunny Studio Botanical Backdrop Die with some Lawn Fawn Cilantro cardstock. I did this first so that I could align my sloth in the right position.  I stamped him using my stamp positioner and drew extending lines on the branch with a Copic friendly marker.

I colored everything with my Copics and once that was done I took my MFT stencil Cloud and some Salty Ocean distress Ink and applied it to my background avoiding my colored areas.

I aligned my foliage once more to be able to place my Hung Up sentiment and the smaller accompanying sentiment from the same stamp set.

I added some stamped hearts with Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink and some Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles and some white gel pen detail!

Simon Says: Interactive Cards

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Interactive Cards! The design team is featuring fantastic Lawn Fawn products :), it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I decided to use the fun Shadow Box die by Lawn Fawn for my project. I love the size of the Shadow Boxdie , you can use 6x6 paper with it. I chose the Lawn Fawn Watercolor paper pack and die cut both the light purple for the outside and the light blue for the inside and to act as the sky for my scene.

I also die cut accessories with various Lawn Fawn cardstock (all listed below) from the Shadow Box set and I die cut the scalloped window that came in the Shadow Box Ocean Add-On set. I also die cut the smallest of the Butterflies from the Mini Pop-up Butterflies using the Pink and Yellow Watercolor paper.

I then pulled out this cute little Chameleon and stamped her on some Neena 80lbs cardstock and colored her with my Copics in Rainbow colors :) Once that was done and she was die cut, I added one of the super fun Simon Says Stamp eyes on her.

I put my little scene together using Score tape to make sure nothing got loose. To finish off, I stamped the sentiment on a Lawn Fawn Banner die with a mix of white and rainbow colored embossing powders and I added some flowers with a mix of Nuvo drops.
