Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring: Concord and 9th

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes! The design team is featuring fabulous Concord & 9th products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

I decided to go with my all-time favorite Concord & 9th stamp and die set - Dahlia Turnabout. There is just something about this set that makes me happy and when I take it out I always end-up making multiple cards with it.

I love the color palette on this one, spring happy colors! I used the Dahlia die and inlayed some Lawn Fawn glitter cardstock.

I embossed my sentiment with Simon Says Stamp antique gold powder and put the panel on the card base with a mix of the same glitter paper and some Tonic harvest gold.

I decided to die cut the Concord & 9th butterfly and glued just the body to the panel and finished it off with Tonic pearl drops.

I did the same for this card, only changed out the colors and the Tonic drops!

Mother's Day Flowers with MFT

Happy Tuesday! Hard to go back to work following a four-day weekend! I am sharing a Mother's Day card featuring this beautiful Fresh Cut Flowers cling stamp by My Favorite Things.

I had my Tombow markers out from my last card share and decided to color this gorgeous stamp with some no-line watercoloring and my Dove blender pen.

Once that was complete, I die cut the panel using MFTs Basic Stitch Lines on the sides and cut the panel down.  I added some MFT black and white stripes paper to the lefthand side. I used foam tape to place the colored panel on top.

The sentiments are a mix of Clearly Besotted and Sunny Studio, I liked the mix in fonts.  To finish off the card, I added some clear droplets.

Spring Flowers!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I am looking forward to this four-day weekend! Hoping to be able to do some crafting!  Today, I am sharing a floral card featuring products by Gina K. Designs.

One of my Sisters-in-Law asked me to make her a bridal shower card using the theme Butterflies and Flowers. I thought these two Gina K. sets would be perfect.

I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and stamped my flowers and butterflies (with my stamp positioner) using my Gina K light coloured Amalgam ink to try my hand at no-line Tombow Marker coloring. I am trying to stretch my comfort zone and practice with other mediums.

Once the images were colored, I knew where I wanted to add my sentiment. I placed my panel back in my stamping tool and stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I was really happy with the way it turned out. I took a coordinating envelop and stamped the same flowers on the flap.

I glued the panel on my Neena 100lbs card base and finished off the card with some iridescent Studio Katia sequins and some white gel pen detail.

Simon Says: Spring Mood Board

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Spring Mood Board! The design team is featuring always fabulous Simon Says Stamp brand Exclusives!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

My super talented teammate Karin created this beautiful board for us to use as inspiration!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I chose the super fun Rain Boots Planter die for my card and paired it with one of my favourite large cling background stamps by Simon Says Stamp - the Reverse Polka.  I started by die-cutting and colouring my rain boots with my Copic markers and that gave me my color palette for the rest of the design.

Once I was finished coloring, I decided to die cut the tops of the boots with some ivory felt and added them to the die-cut.

I stamped my background using Simon Says Stamp Mint Ink and then die cut the panel using the Oval Chain Link MFT frame.  I also die cut the frame three times with Neena cardstock to layer the frame for dimension.

I took one of the inner pieces of Neena and colored the bottom with browns for the dirt and some greens for the grass blades. I then used some B family Copic markers for the sky (all colors listed below)

I die cut my Simon Says Stamp Thankful die from both Lavender and Harvest Gold cardstocks and I embossed the "For You" in yellow embossing powder. I put all of my elements together including inlay of my background pieces into the Chain Link die.

To finish off, I added some Studio Katia Chunk Glitter Butterflies to the sky!

MFT sweet Little Piggy!

Happy Monday crafty friends! Have you seen the latest MFT release? It is so sweet! I had fun playing with the Little Piggy die-namics over the weekend.

I have always wanted a pet pig and one of these days it will become a reality, but for now I was temporarily mollified but this cutie! I started by die cutting my piggy from Lawn Fawn Apricot cardstock and ink-blended some pink ink around all the edges.

I also used pink cardstock for the ears and hand and feet cappers and guava cardstock for the flower on her head.

I then added my grassy edges stencil with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and decided to add the Die-namics Stitched Stripe for added texture to the edge of the panel.  I cut it down and chose some Doodlebug pattern paper for fun, who doesn't love a rainbow!

I put all of my elements together and added a sentiment and a cloud from the new Stacy Yacula MFT stamps set.

To finish off, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ivory Jewels and some candy hearts!

Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies!

Happy Thursday crafty friends! Today marks a new Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Release: Blossoms and Butterflies!

I am in love with the Butterflies from the Comfort and Prayers stamp set! They are GORGEOUS!!!  I started by stamping the largest butterfly on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with my Gina K. Amalgam ink for some no-line coloring using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (all colors used are listed below). I fussy cut my butterfly and put it to the side to work on my background panel.

I chose the Sugar Plum Avery Elle Watercolor to paint lines on my Tim holtz Watercolor Paper.  I just used a wide damp brush and added my lines. I used one coat to keep the pastel feel of the purple.

I then chose the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Gorgeous dies from a previous release and die cut them twice, once from Simon Says Stamp glitter paper and once again with black cardstock. I used my Connect glue and offset the black slightly.

I placed my sentiments and my butterfly on the panel using foam tape for the butterfly wings to give some added dimension.

To finish off the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh Winter Sparkle Mix sequins and some Nuvo Jewel drops to the wings of the butterfly and the card panel.

Thanks so much for taking the time go to Simon Says Stamp to see the entire release!

Simon Says: No Designer Paper!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: No Designer Paper! The design team is featuring amazing Picket Fence Studios products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I used the beautiful Lily Bouquet stamp set for my card today. I decided to color these gorgeous Lilies with my Polychromos Pencils.  I stamped my Lilies using my stamp positioner and some Gina K. Amalgam ink to do some no-line colouring. This was such a soothing process!

Once I was done coloring my flowers, I added some Salty Ocean Distress Ink to the sides. I then gold embossed my sentiment (I needed an Anniversary card for my parents and felt this was perfect). The sentiment is a mix from both a Pink & Main set and a Sunny Studio set.

I placed my panel on a card base and used my 1/4 inch Corner Chomper on two of the opposing corners.

To finish off, I added my favourite flower embellishment Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets to the Lilies and some Pretty Pink Posh hearts above the sentiment.

Mama Elephant Rainbow Birds!

Happy Tuesday! Sharing a fun Mama Elephant rainbow inspired card today! We have been seeing a mix of freezing rain and snow here in Montréal and I was in dire need of a happy colourful project :)

This card was inspired by Julie Ebersole, she created a similar background last week and I simply could not resist. It just made me happy! I decided to pair mine with the fantastic newly released Mama Elephant Happy Birthday die and the cute birds from he Mama Elephant wreath stamp set from their last release.

I started by stamping my stripes using my stamp positioner in rainbow order on 3/4 of the panel. I realized that once I was done with my stamping that I was slightly off so I used my Honey Bee die to cut the panel giving the illusion that all is straight.

I die cut my Happy Birthday die from a Neena 80lbs, fun foam and Stick It sandwich for dimension and added it to the panel.  I then stamped and coloured my birds and flowers with Copics, used the accompanying dies and placed them on the panel.

To finish off I added a secondary sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins!

Simon Says: Animal Antics

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Animal Antics! The design team is featuring amazing Hello Bluebird products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I have been practicing my no-line coloring lately and have been having fun with it! I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for this fun scene featuring the Hello Bluebird Moose and Friends stamp set.

I used the Gina K. Amalgam Ink for the first time on this project and I was super happy with the result. I stamped all of my images on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock, colored my images and die cut all of my elements.

I also used Bristol for my base panel and stamped my Hooray sentiment from the same stamp set and colored it in rainbow order. I then used my MFT Mini Cloud and Grass stencils with Salty Ocean and a mix of Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover Distress Inks. I find it easier to stencil after the initial coloring and simply avoid the colored area.

I placed all of my images on the base panel using a mix of foam tape and glue and added some gel pen detail. I made a mistake on my Moose (typical of me, lol) so I decided to give him some googly eyes instead of starting over. I find there is always a way to save my images!

I added my "champagne" colored Spica pen to add strings to my sentiment balloon and gold embossed my secondary sentiment. I die cut that sentiment using the new Mama Elephant strip dies and used foam tape to add that to the card.

To finish off the card, I added some hearts and the new Nuvo Dream Drops (LOVE these)!
