Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Penny Black

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes! The design team is featuring super fun Penny Black products this week!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

It is always fun to send some irish luck to someone you care about! I had to color this adorable bear by Penny Black :) I just love him - this card needs a home, lol!

I took a piece of Neena and stamped my bear, I stamped him again on masking paper and cut only his "legs" to mask for the hill.

I took an MFT stencil and my Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and ink blended my Irish grassy hill. I coloured in my bear with Copic markers being careful to maintain some hair texture on my bear. Once he was colored in, I added some Salty Ocean Distress Ink from my edges in being careful not to go over the bear.

I used a rounded rectangle die to die cut the panel and then stamped the sentiment from the same Penny Black set on the bottom. I stamped it again and fussy cut the top part of the banned to make it pop a little more.

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Sending die from both gold and black cardstock and offset the sentiment to add some black shading.  I glued it to the panel. To finish off, I added white gel pen, glossy accents and green glitter to the shamrocks.  My Trinity Stamps brown hearts were used to finish off the card!

Simon Says Stamp Believe in You Release!

Time for another AWESOME Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Brand release! Believe in you is now live on the Simon Says Stamp store!

I love this die! Today will be awesome is such a perfect sentiment for any occasion! I choose to pair the new die with some older Simon Says Stamp Exclive products :)

For my first project I used the Simon Says Stamp Bikini die and the Sea you Soon stamp set! The pattern paper is from a Simon Says Stamp cardkit and I felt is paired wonderfully with this design. I simply die cut the panel and the accompanying elements and stamped the seagulls from the Sea you Soon set.  I took a Sion Says Stamp small tag die and gold embossed the Beach please sentiment! This is such a timely card as we are on our summer vacation!

For my second card, I used the Simon Says Stamp Deco background stamp and white embossed it, I then ink blended some Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Festive Berries, Abandoned Coral and Mustard Seed to the panel and wiped the excess. I die cut the Today will be Awesome die from some Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock and some Tonic gold for the backer piece. To finish it off, I simply added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels and some Nuvo drops!

Go take a look at this fabulous new release! Thanks for taking the time!

Simon Says: Back to School

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Back to School! The design team is featuring always amazing Simon Says Stamp Brand Exclusive products this week!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I guess students go back to school early in the states, school in Quebec hasn't even been out for a month and they go back closer to labor day therefore I found this an interesting challenge for me, lol! I decided to focus my card on thanking teachers, they are amazing individuals who are responsible for educating the next generation :)

I started by stamping my apple in a variety of Simon Says Stamp exclusive brand inks, I then die-cut my panel with a wonky stitched rectangle die and added some red glitter to the apple.

I used the gorgeous big thanks by Simon Says Stamp and die cut that from Lipstick red cardstock and blended some School House red ink. I also die cut the shadow portion from some Tonic gold cardstock.

I finished it off with a secondary sentiment by Lawn Fawn and I gold embossed it using Simon Says Stamp antique gold embossing powder.  To finish off my CAS Teacher card, I added some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

Summer fun!

Happy Friday! I finally start my summer vacation today, four weeks of peace and quiet and I am pretty sure that is what inspired my card for today :)

I really wanted to ink up these sweet new elephants by Mama Elephant not sure where I would end up with my design. I stamped all of my images and coloured them with my Copics and used the accompanying dies.

I decided to pair them with the new My Favorite Things pool die and make a fun little scene. I die cut the pool from a piece of Neena solar white and another "pool" from Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass cardstock.  I felt the sea glass was a little pale, so I blended some Salty Ocean and added a Hero Arts Waves stencil and added darker blending.

I put the "water" aside and ink blended my clouds and my lawn and added some silver gel pen to the pool edge. I foam taped my panel to my card base and added the "water" inside the top panel laying it flat to the card base.

I glued my elephants and stamped three sentiments that I added to the card. To finish off, I added some white gel pen detail, glossy accents and some red hearts.

Simon Says: Make your Own Background!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Make your Own Background! The design team is featuring always amazing Tim Holtz products this week!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I wasn't sure where I was going with this card when I began but I have to tell you I think it's one of my favorite projects ever! I love the bright and happy colors of this card and those Crazy Birds have always been one of my favorite sets to play with!

I started with a piece of Neena Solar White and both lightly sprayed and flecked my panel with Distress Resist which, I had never tried before.  I set that aside to dry (takes no time at all) and stamped my bird and sunglasses on another panel. I colored all of my images with my Copic markers and used the accompanying dies.

Once the panel was dry, I took a Heffy Doodle stencil and used a mix of Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress inks to my background. Once I removed my stencil I went over the entire panel with the same colors and a lighter hand.  I die cut the panel with a rounded rectangle die and I placed my images on the panel and that is what helped me select my sentiment! This bird is too funny!

I die die cut my Simon Says Stamp sentiment from some SSS Glitter Cardstock and glued it to the panel. I added a secondary sentiment that just worked with this fun card!

To finish my card, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels, white gel pen detail and some Glossy Accents to the sunglasses.

Simon Says Stamp July 2019 Card Kit!

Happy Tuesday! I am on official vacation countdown! Woot! I was away for work for a week and my July Simon Says Stamp Card kit arrived! I inked it up over the weekend :) love these bees! The kit is sold out, but you can purchase the items separately and I have linked them all below!

I started by stencilling my panel with a mix of Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Inks on a piece of Neena Solar white. I still love my Distress Inks, I use the Oxides a lot too, but I like them both for different reasons.  I will use the Oxides if I want a more saturated color and the Inks for a light controlled blend.

I die cut the panel with the MFT centre die and decided to use one of the gorgeous Honeybee pattern papers from the kit for the insert piece. I stamped and coloured my bees using my Copic markers, fussy cut them and then added Simon Says Stamp Unicorn Dust to the wings. I put the panel on the card base with some Altenew gold thin washi on either side because I had an ink disaster on the right had side of the panel lol and had to cut it down slightly. Washi to the rescue!

I added the insert piece and stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set as the bees. I colored in the "Just" with my black Copic marker and added some white gel pen detail.

I used foam tape to place my bees on the card and stamped the dotted lines. To finish off, I used some of the sequins from the kit with a mix of Nuvo drops and some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels.

Studio Katia Bouquet

Happy Friday! My vacation countdown starts today! One week left before I get a month-long rest! I am sharing a Studio Katia Bouquet today, I wanted to practice my Copic shading with this one.

I find myself with so many stamps and always wanting what's new that I forget that I have an older stash of beautiful products. When I decided that I wanted to color a large image to practice shading, I went back to my Studio Katia florals and chose the Blooming Bunch.

This is actually a very simple card, the time investment was on the coloring (colors listed and linked below). Once that was complete I trimmed my panel down and gold embossed my sentiment from the same stamp set. I felt there was a little something missing so I added a line of Altenew thin gold Washi to the bottom.

I used foam tape to adhere my panel to the card base and added some Nuvo drops also listed below.

Simon Says: Add a Number

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Add a Number! The design team is featuring Your Next Stamp products :) this week!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I used the Tini Sips stamp set by Your Next Stamp for this card, maybe because I am nearing vacation mode!!!  I decided to add a number border so I die cut my numbers in a rainbow assortment of cardstock.

Once that was done, I shaded each number with my Distress Inks in the coordinating color. I placed the numbers loosely where I wanted them and stamped my first Martini Glass and created a mask to then stamp the second one.  I colored them in lightly with my Copic Markers and added some glossy accents.

I was careful to add my numbers, some with foam tape some glued flat to the card base and added white gel pen detail.

I stamped the sentiment from the same Tini Stamps set which I embossed on a black banner and added it on top of the glasses. To finish off, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins!

Hero Arts Rainbow Fishies!

Happy Monday crafty friends! Today I am sharing these adorable Hero Arts Fish! They have the cutest faces that absolutely needed to be colored in rainbow colors :)

I started by cutting a piece of Strathmore Bristol paper to create my water background. I put some Distress Inks on my Tim Holtz glass mat and sprayed water on the four colors used (listed below) and put my paper to it. I dried in between to get the desired effect to be able to add more color, which I did about four times. For the last application, I put fresh ink down and sprayed my water once to give more defined color.  I put my piece aside to properly dry and started to work on my fish!

I stamped my fish on a piece of Neena Solar white and used my Copic Markers to color them (all colors listed below) I then used the accompanying dies for my images.  I took my background panel and die cut it with the Hero Arts Rounded Rectangles and then embossed my sentiment.

I placed my fish and then used foam tape to secure them to the panel. I also used foam tape for the background panel to flatten the slight warp from the watercolor and embossing.  To finish off I added some Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles and some white gel pen detail.
